David B. Wilmsmeyer, 59, of Manchester, MO, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Manchester. Dave was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 6, 1958, a son of Gottlieb J. & Shirley (Smith) Wilmsmeyer, who survive in Marthasville. He was the husband of Geralyn F. (Klos) Wilmsmeyer.

They were united in marriage on June 30th, 1984. Dave is also survived by a daughter, Courtney Santeliz & husband Rafael; a son, Christopher Wilmsmeyer; a brother, Bruce Wilmsmeyer, three grandchildren, Emmett, Benjamin, and Eli, as well as countless in-laws, nephews & nieces. Dave graduated from Hermann High School in 1976.

He later went on to DeVry University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Electronics. He worked for Hewlett Packard as an escalation engineer, until his retirement. Dave was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather.

Most people from Hermann knew Dave as “Willy”. He had a larger than life personality and never knew a stranger. Dave was an avid golfer and sports fan.

He was learning Spanish and recently made it to 18% fluency. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vision Warriors Foundation, of which Dave was an active supporter. The foundation can be reached at visionwarriorsfoundation.org or 305 Saint Andrews Ct, Ballwin, MO 63011.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
