David “Bennie” Willis, Jr., 67, of Newport, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Carolina East Medical Center. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Carol Mizelle Willis; daughters, Maggie Willis of San Diego, Cal.

, Sara Willis of Wilmington; son, Darcy Willis of Oregon; brother, Tommie Willis and wife Sandy of Morehead City; nephews, Johnny Conner, Curren, Jack; and niece, Ruby. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Bennie “D.B.” Willis and Catherine Hunley Willis. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Let It Be Scholarship Fund Class of 1970 WCHS, 4700 Country Club Rd.
