Thomson- Mr. David Copeland Smith, 78, entered into rest Tuesday, May 07, 2018 in Doctor’s Hospital. He was the son of the late Mr. Carl Smith and Mrs. Floatie-Lee Copeland. Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Steve Lamb officiating. Mr. Smith was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a cloth spreader at Thomson Company and a member of Lighthouse Community Fellowship Church.

Mr. Smith was predeceased by his parent’s, two brothers Wayne D. Smith and Elliott D. Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by 4 sons, Eddie Smith, Carey Allen Smith, Howard Smith, all of Thomson, and Richard Smith, N.C; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Smith and Jerry Whitaker; one brother, Lyle W. Smith. Friends may call at the residence of Howard Smith or the Curtis Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
