Obituary for David Lee Smith Ewing, VA David Lee Smith was welcomed to his eternal home by his Savior and his parents on January 10, 2019. David, 54, a lifelong resident of Ewing, VA is survived by his wife, Etta Smith, his children, David Smith and Bronwyn Brock of Middlesboro, KY and Tasha and Todd Fortner of Harrogate, TN grandchildren,Cassidy Combs, Mason Fortner, Victoria Fortner, Chase Fortner, Stephen Fortner and Reagan Fortner, Harrogate, TN Taylor Daniels and Keaton Brock, Middlesboro, KY brothers and sisters, Lawrence and Teresa Smith, Elydale, VA Ruby and Cliff Hseih, Knoxville, TN Nell and L. J. Ellis, Rose Hill, VA Ronnie and Diana Smith, Ewing, VA Gene and Lisa Smith, Ewing, VA Kathy and Brad Vass, Ewing, VA Michael and Crystal Smith, Elydale, VA and a host of nieces and nephews with a special mention of nephew, Joseph Kinser. David was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and loyal brother.

His love for the outdoors included farming, hunting and passing on childhood memories to his children and grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 6-8PM at Robinette Funeral Home, Rose Hill, VA. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1:30PM from the Friendship Independent Missionary Baptist Church, Ewing, VA Burial will follow in the Littrell Cemetery, Onyx Road, Ewing, VA Pallbearers at the church will be Lawrence Smith, Ronnie Smith, Gene Smith, Michael Smith and Brad Vass.
