Memorial service for David Mendoza, age 72, of Madison, will be Friday, March 29, 2019, 12:00 p.m. at Westmeade Baptist Church with Rev. Justin McAlpin officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the church.

Mr. Mendoza, who died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at his residence, was born March 2, 1947, in San Antonio, TX, to Joe Mendoza and Carrie Burcisga Mendoza. He was retired from the U. S. Army. He is survived by one son, Nathan Mendoza (Stephanie) of Austin, TX; two daughters, Pamela Webster (Vern) of Madison, and Patricia Skinner (John) of Decatur; three brothers; four sisters; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Richard, Cameron (Karen), Jesse, Tyler, Javy, Austin, Dalton, Mary, Jamie, and Ruth Ann; and one great-grandson, Adrian.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 .
