David N. Jokela, age 66, of Mentor passed away peacefully on October 13, 2018 in Madison, Ohio. David was born February 16, 1952 in Cleveland, OH and graduated from Euclid High School in 1970. He attended Cleveland State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.

He began his retail career at age 17 and fell in love with sales; he spent the majority of his adult life working for Northeast Appliance and B & B Appliance. David’s passions were attending his children’s school… Read More » and sporting events, biking, hiking and camping in the mountains of Colorado and Allegheny National Forest, and spending time with his dogs. David was a loving and devoted husband, father, and son and is survived by his wife Michelle; daughter Kellie (Mary Beth Clemons); sons Cody, Dana, and Sean; father Robert; grandchildren; siblings Robert “Bud” (Marj), Gary (Sharon), Laurie (Paul Pancoast), and Robin (Craig Stenger); many nieces and nephews; and loyal dog Casey.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rilla Jokela (Dilgren), and his son, Cary Jokela. Family and friends are invited to remember and pay tribute to David at Brickman Bros Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Avenue Willoughby, OH 44094, on Thursday October 18, 2018 between 4pm and 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
