Life Story for Kenneth Murray A celebration of life for Kenneth R. Murray, 86, of Chardon, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at the Chardon Township Hall, 9949 Mentor Road, Chardon. Mr. Murray passed away Oct.

5, 2018, at his residence. Born Sept. 19, 1932, in Yonkers, N.Y., he had been a resident of Chardon for 41 years.

Kenneth was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a very active man and loved to farm, fish and build houses, enjoyed sailing and was an avid golfer. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Joan E. (nee Bernhardt) Murray; Kathleen A. (Tom) Tagliamonte, Alan C. (Lori) Murray, Patti L. (Michael) Brown and Jimmy B. Linhart; father-in-law of AnnMarie Murray; cherished grandfather of Tony (Kate) Murray, Casey Murray, Alex Murray, Julie (Rytas) Petraitis, Rachel Tagliamonte, Jacob Brown, Matthew Brown and Kenneth Brown; great-grandfather of Chase Murray, Connor Murray, Everett Murray and Algis Petraitis; brother of Edwin Murray; and uncle of nieces and a nephew.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Marion (nee Grodt) Murray; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Murray. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. , Cleveland, OH 44110.
