David W. Hummel, 52, of New Berlin, entered into rest at 7:55 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at UPMC Susquehanna, Sunbury. He was born August 18, 1966, in Lewisburg, a son of Mary C. (Schrader) Hummel of Mifflinburg and the late Oliver W. Hummel. David was a 1984 graduate of Mifflinburg High School and a 1988 graduate of Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers and one sister-in-law, Oliver D. Hummel and his partner, Stanley Reed, of New York City, and Jeffrey S. and RuAnn Hummel of Lewisburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Robin A. and Keith Kunkel, Jr. of Selinsgrove; two nephews, Jeffrey A. and his wife Aislinn M. Kunkel of Selinsgrove, and Isaac A. Kunkel of Milton; great niece Morgan S. Kunkel. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Zachary A. Kunkel. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 23rd, at the Sharon Lutheran Church, 120 S. Market St., Selinsgrove, with Rev.

Robert Doll, officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to Central Susquehanna Sight Services, 348 Market Street, Sunbury, PA 17801, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd.
