David C. York, November 28, 1947 – July 2, 2018 of Alvaton, KY. – It is with great sadness that the family of David C. York announces his passing after his battle with cancer, on Monday, July 2, 2018, at the age of 70 years. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 20 years, Claudette and his children, Brandon(Kristi) York, Megan (Chris) Huston, and Robert (Kristen) Green.

David will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Logan, Kate, Maddison, and Kinsley, by his sister, Judy Stout and by sister-in-law’s Mary Smith, Theresa (Howard) Keihn, Marti Brand (Jana Hanson) and by his brother-in-law Leslie (Dena) Brand. David was a retired member of the United States Marine Corp where he was a Sargent and served his country in the Vietnam War. David retired from General Motor’s where he worked for many years.

David had many passions in life like attending and participating in car shows, working on his old cars and above everything his family. David’s 4 granddaughters were his pride and joy. Anyone who knew David became his friend.

He was very outgoing and lighthearted. He loved to make people laugh and brighten someone’s day. He will be greatly missed by all.

Friends may gather with the family for a visitation on Friday July 6th, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at J C Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Funeral Chapel, located at 820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103. Family and friends are also invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday July 7th, 2018 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
