Obituary of David Daskiewich Boonville- David H. Daskiewich, 58, of Ford St. passed away at his residence, on Saturday, September 1, 2018. David was born in Rome, on September 7, 1959, a son of Henry J. and Marilyn Berliner Daskiewich. A life resident of Boonville, David graduated from Adirondack Central High School, with the Class of 1978, before graduating from MVCC, Utica, in 1980, where he earned an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology.

For many years thereafter, he was employed as an electrician for Gerald Henry Electrical, Boonville, and as an electrical inspector at Rome Cable Co. and in the same capacity for Niagara Mohawk, at the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Power Project, at Oswego, NY. For many years Mr. Daskiewich served as electrician for the New York State Woodsmen’s Field Days, Boonville, where he was also in charge of the sound system at the annual field days. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville, a longtime member of Boonville Fire Department, where he was an ambulance driver for many years.

He was also a member of the Boonville Rescue Squad. David possessed the mind of an electrical genius; he greatly enjoyed working with computers. David is survived by his parents, Henry J. and Marilyn J. Daskiewich, Boonville; his siblings, Michael Daskiewich, Boonville, Tracy Dickson, Boonville, Eileen Esch and husband, Richard, Forestport, and Francis “Frank” Daskiewich, Boonville and his nieces and nephews, for whom David felt a great affection for; Jacob Dickson, Dayna Dickson, Katherine Dickson, Emily Dickson, Lauren Esch, Madison Esch and Connor Daskiewich and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, September 8, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville, where Rev. Thomas Ward, pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boonville.

There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Boonville Fire Department, PO Box 164, Boonville, NY 13309. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
