Deanna Lynn Schiller Wood , June 12, 1954 — January 21, 2019

Deanna Lynn Wood, 64 of Ayr, died January 21, 2019 at McLaren Hospital, with family by her side. Deanna was born on June 12, 1954 in Cheboygan, Michigan, the daughter of Alvin and Gladys (Washburn) Schiller. She was one of eleven children.

On January 20, 1973, she married Andrew Wood at a little church in Kegomic. Together, they made their home in Ayr and raised two children, Adam and Aday. Deanna was a talented seamstress and worked with her sister-in-law, Ruby, for many years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting all kinds of different things for herself and friends. During the summer months, she would also like to go on fishing trips with family. She was affectionately known as the “Family Tree” person in the family, she had a passion for researching genealogy and family history.

Deanna was an animal lover, she had many cats and dogs over the years that she loved dearly. Family was always her number one priority and she will be deeply missed by all. Deanna is survived by her husband of 46 years, Andrew Wood of Ayr; her son, Adam (Jenna) Wood of Indian River; daughter, Aday (Kyle) Budzynski of Brutus; grandchildren, Samuel, Emmalee and Henry; siblings, Judy (Bob) Bernhardt, Dan (Jeri) Schiller, Richard (Sandy) Schiller, Gordon Schiller, Arthur (Debbie) Schiller, Alvin (Kathy) Schiller, Larry (Cathy) Schiller, and Steve Schiller; as well as many, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; her cats, Sydney, Daisy and Daffodil; and her special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marilyn (DeLyle) Hill; an infant sister; and her special cat, Goldy. There will be a visitation at the Northridge Community Church in Alanson on Friday evening, January 25th, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, January 26th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Pete Kroll will officiate the service.
