Deborah “Debbie” Gayle (Erickson) Osborn, 70, of Newton died on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials in Debbie’s name (checks made out to Kenny Osborn) may be left at the funeral home. Debbie, the daughter of Clyde and Barbara (Batesole) Erickson, was born on January 2, 1949 in Marshalltown. She grew up on a farm south of Laurel and attended South East Marshall County Schools.

As a teenager, Debbie moved to Newton where she would live the rest of her life. On April 11, 1981, Debbie was united in marriage with Kenny Osborn in Newton. Many would recognize them as Kenny would push Debbie in her wheelchair wherever they would need to go around town.

In the past Debbie had worked at Midtown Café and enjoyed going to garage and bake sales. Debbie also liked shopping at the Salvation Army and spending time with her cats. Debbie is survived by her husband, Kenny Osborn of Newton; siblings, Gaylene and COL.

(Ret) James Milling of Ridgeway, South Carolina, Lynn and Dwight Konicek of Marshalltown, and Randy and Nancy Erickson of Newton; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
