Deborah E Shank , June 28, 1965 — July 27, 2018

Deborah E. Shank, 53, of Maytown, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 27, 2018. She was the loving wife of Jesse R. Shank, with whom she shared 26 years of marriage. She will be deeply missed by her two children, Enlisted Second Class Jared Shank, USN and Jordyn Shank at home.

Also surviving is her mother, Carol Lamar Wilson (Tom) Hutson of DE, and her brother Greg (Wendy) Wilson of Pottstown, parents of J.C. and Bryson. Debbie was preceded in death by her father Donald R. Wilson. Debbie was a graduate of Octorara High School class of 1983 and later graduated from Millersville University in 1987.

She was currently employed by The Donegal Mutual Insurance Company of Marietta, working in the Information and Technology Department. Her children meant the world to her. She enjoyed watching Jared in his sporting events and was an avid supporter of Donegal Baseball and the Donegal Braves Organization where she served as the cheer director.

In addition, Debbie was devoted to coaching cheerleading and attending Jordyn’s competitions and events. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Debbie took pleasure in cross stitch and crafting.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LA All Stars and sent to Jodi Bard, 809 Paddington Drive Lancaster, PA 17601 (Checks payable to Jordyn Shank Scholarship fund), or Donegal Braves Midget Football and Cheer, P.O. Box 402 Mount Joy, Pa 17552.
