SUN PRAIRIE/PLYMOUTH/OCONOMOWOC- Debra Lee Overturf, age 59, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born on March 26, 1959, in Plymouth, Wis. , the daughter of Harvey and LaVerne (Bremser) Vogds.

Debra attended UW-Stevens Point, where she met her husband, Wesley Overturf. She worked for insurance companies and the state as an auditor in the Madison area. Debra enjoyed reading, and spending time with her fur companion, Sir Arthur, the cat, who was always at… Read More » her side.

She drew strength and kindness from her faith. Debra had a sweet and infectious demeanor, gave generously to various charities, and always believed strongly in forgiveness. Channeling her bond with her Lord, she was able to open her heart to everyone.

Debra’s expression of love and compassion flowed and reflected freely through all she encountered. To be a part of Debra’s family was to know love, and show love. Debra is survived by her sisters, Nancy (Michael) Curry and Kathleen Blanke; nephews, Shawn Curry (Melissa Fenrick), Eric (Elizabeth) Curry, Ryan (Melissa) Curry, Adam Curry and Joshua (Rachel) Blanke; niece, Terra (Matthew) Ehn; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and former husband, Wesley. A gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., on Friday, May 4, 2018. Burial will be held at Greenbush Cemetery, Plymouth, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
