MADISON-Anne K. Freiss, age 89, of Madison, Wis. , passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on June 5, 1928, in Plainfield, N.J., the daughter of Peter and Helen McDonough.

Anne married Henry “Bud” Freiss on April 21, 1951. She raised her four children with her husband in Lebanon Township, N.J. She was an administrative assistant for the state of New Jersey before Anne and Bud retired to Vero Beach, Fla.

Anne is survived by her husband, Bud; daughters, Susan Freiss and Kate (David) Mickle; son, Jim (Cari) Freiss; grandchildren, Ben and David Blodgett, Megan Blodgett Minnick, Aaron and Anna Mickle, Laura and Peter Freiss, Mary Freiss Masse, and Ethan, Brian, and Ellie Freiss; along with six great-grandchildren.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents; and son, John Freiss. Memorial Mass will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd.

, Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday.
