MADISON-Patricia Ann Wilson, 69, of Madison, died unexpectedly at home in her sleep on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. She was born on Sept. 17, 1948, in Madison, the middle child of five and only daughter of Allen and Christine Wilson.

Patty Ann splashed in all the puddles from The Atwood Community Center to Lowell Elementary, sang in the Choir at Trinity Lutheran, played violin and acted in musicals at Madison East High School, class of ’66. Hardworking and affable, Pat thrived in service to others and cultivated lifelong friendships with coworkers and clients in various jobs, including Wisconsin Mutual Insurance and Wisconsin Gaming Commission.

Selfless devotion to a brother’s special needs dovetailed with her work as an advocate for our challenged citizens. Patty’s loyalty to “her people” would lift dancing eyes and howls of joy. As ombudswoman, through the aegis of Dane County and Support Broker Consultants, her staunch voice fought for families facing opposing interests.

Rising to the struggles of an aging parent encouraged Patty to share her gifts and help others as a Family Support and Education Coordinator for seventeen years at Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin (ADAW), well-suited as an energetic and innovative sage while teaching “care for the caregiver”. Pat pulled for the Badgers, Brewers and Packers and lived by the wisdom of Winnie the Pooh. She enjoyed antiquing; rosemaling, Tai Chi and Lutefisk Suppers!

? ! Pat is survived by her brothers, John of Madison, Tom of St. Paul, Minn.

, and Don of Platteville. She was preceded in death by her parents; and eldest brother, Allen Jr. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at noon, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, followed by a luncheon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
