MADISON-Harold M. “Hal” Tadych, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 5, 1931, in Manitowoc, WI, the son of Joseph and Clara (Vnuk) Tadych. He married Mary Ann Marinack on June 27, 1959 in Phillips, WI.

Hal served in the Air Force and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He graduated from UW Madison. Hal was an accountant for the State of Wisconsin in the Department of Administration until his retirement.

… Read More » He loved his family above all. He was a gifted singer and organist. His love of music and song was passed on to his entire family and they often enjoyed singing together.

He and his wife loved dancing and enjoyed attending musical theater productions. Hal’s faith in God was his of strength. He was an incredibly sensitive, generous, and loving man who taught us all to say “I love you”, to know the value of a hug and the importance of family.

Hal is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters, Mary (Bill) Murray, and Marilyn (Karl) Green; two sons, David (Jacqueline) Tadych, and Peter (Antje Hoering) Tadych; his grandchildren, Paul (Amanda), Samantha and Danielle Tadych, Joseph and Sophie Kurth, AnnaMarie, Isaiah and Emmi Green; and great-grandson, Hunter Tadych; and many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, with Steve Zwettler presiding.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
