MONONA-Caroline “June” Bleck, age 89, of Monona, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Heritage Monona. She was born on March 6, 1929 in Madison, the daughter of Lloyd and Ida (Beld) Bosben. June married the love of her life, Reginald Bleck on Feb.

14, 1953. He preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1995.

June graduated from Madison East High School and worked for Madison Newspapers, where she met Reg. After raising her three children she went to work at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). … Read More » June enjoyed her family first and foremost.

She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag about them. June enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her sisters and friends, and most of all spending time with her family. She was especially fond of birds and had a parakeet named Perry as a young woman; and Tina has been her parakeet companion over the last several years.

She taught Tina how to talk. Tina entertained the staff at Heritage as well. June is survived by her children, Greg (Peggy) Bleck; Doug (Carol) Bleck and Terri (Pat Hanson) Bleck.

She is further survived by her four grandchildren, Marty Bleck and Angela (Vaughn) Hoefs, Lisa (Chris) Mohrman and Steven (Betsy) Bleck; and eight great-grandchildren, Paige and Vaughn Hoefs, Alex, Sailor, Benjamin and Pia Mohrman, and Brooks and Broderick Bleck; her sister, Phyllis Ott (Hank Dombrowski); brother-in-law, Bob Ayen; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially her long-time friend of 80 years, LaRaine Dybevik. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years; parents; sister, Anna Ayen; and brother-in-law, Jerry Ott. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Monona and Agrace HospiceCare for the loving care given to our Mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
