Cross Plains-Ralph B Hetzel, age 80, of Cross Plains, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, May 5, 2018. He was born on October 9, 1937, the son of Leo and Muriel (Pronold) Hetzel and was raised in the Spring Green/Wilson Creek area. On Oct.

20, 1962 Ralph married Carolyn Coyle in St. Francis Xavier, Cross Plains . He was employed with Giddings and Lewis for 22 years until their closing. Ralph then joined WPS as a Lead Supervisor until retiring at the age of 72.

… Read More » He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Cross Plains Knights of Columbus. Ralph enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. In addition to Carolyn his wife of 55 years, survivors include his daughters, Nadine (Warren) Westphal and Nancy Hetzel; his son, Mark Hetzel; four Grandchildren, Michael Westphal, Jodi (Kirk) Anderson, Brett Hetzel, Cole Hetzel; four Great-Grandchildren, four Great-Grandchildren, Landon Westpahl, Micaiah Anderson, Arielle Anderson, Bryleigh Rossdutcher; his sister, Doris (Tom) Danelski and many friends .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St, Cross Plains, at 10:30 am on Thursday May 10, 2018, with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, and also from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Thursday.
