MADISON-Caroline A. Fleming, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was born on Feb. 25, 1930, in Cambria, the daughter of Alex and Sarah “Ione” (Roberts) Mohr.

Caroline graduated from Cambria High School in 1947, and attended Madison Business College. She married Gene Fleming in 1950. Caroline was an administrative supervisor for Dane County for over 20 years.

She was a member of the East Side Businessmen’s Club and an active golfer and… Read More » member of many golf leagues. Caroline enjoyed dancing and socializing with her friends. She was an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction and loved to have discussions about politics.

Caroline enjoyed traveling to Florida and many other places throughout the years. Her family meant the world to her and she loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Caroline is survived by her daughter, Karen Fleming Steffes; grandsons, Aaron Steffes (Emilie Amundson) and Adam Steffes (Molly McNab); great-grandchildren, Abram and Eliot Steffes and Abigail McNab; brother, Jim (Sue) Mohr; and nieces, nephews and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; brother, Robert Mohr; sister, Marietta Wigchers; and son-in-law, Al Steffes. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. The family would like to give special thanks to Kelley Proctor for her friendship and loving care over the years.
