COTTAGE GROVE-Robert T. Shorey, age 75, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Nov. 17, 1942, the son of Earl and Irene (Oknewski) Shorey.

Robert graduated from Merrill High School in 1960. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving from 1960 until 1963. Robert furthered his education at the Wisconsin School of Electronics, graduating in 1969.

He enjoyed classic cars, Las Vegas trips and playing with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife, Jane; son, David; daughter, Christine (Brooks) Vrooman; grandchildren, Hailey and Zachary Vrooman; step-granddaughter, Sadie Vrooman; step-great-grandson, Jack Bentley; brothers, Leroy, Richard and Joe; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Online condolences may be made at www.
