Dellas “Bud” House, 88, of Poseyville, IN went to be with the Lord February 27, 2019. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Bud was born March 28, 1930 to the late Roy Thomas House and Helen Kathryn House (Stoneberger).

He married the love of his life Mary “Tish” (Cain) August 30, 1947. Bud will be remembered as a servant of Christ, loving husband, father, and grandfather. His hobbies included going to church, praying, eating Morels that the grandchildren hunted and always giving the reminder that Sunday School starts at 10am.

He was a member of Apostolic Bible Church and retired from Mulzer Crushed Stone in 2001. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary “Tish”; children Dennis “Denny” (Linda) House, Rick (Roberta) House, and Suzy (Dan) Cox; grandchildren Karla (John) Payne, Ricky Roy House, Lori House, Jeremy (Janna) Stone; great grandchildren Jared Payne, Kyle Payne, Cody Dietz, Catie (Brandon) Benthall, Hallie Stone, Dallas Stone, and Carter Stone; great great grandchild Grant Benthall; sister Vicki (Howard) Price; and several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents Roy Thomas and Helen Kathryn House; siblings Kathryn Mason, Margie Blocker, Sue Girot, and Don House.

The family would like to thank Dr. Todd Renshler, Dr. James Rice, and Heritage Hospice for their compassionate care. Holder’s Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. House. Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at Apostolic Bible Church, 9808 New Harmony Rd, Poseyville, IN 47633, from 3p.m.- 7p.m. and Saturday 9a.m. at the Church until service time.

Funeral will be at the church Saturday March 2, 2019 at 10a. m with Pastor Greg Morrison officiating. Interment will be held at Saulmon Cemetery.
