Delzie’s Obituary Delzie Rubin Banks, age 73 of Cumberland, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. Born in Big Cowan, KY on December 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Charlie and Gertrude Tomlinson Banks. Delzie attended the Big Cowan Pentecostal Church before his health prevented him from doing so.

Besides his biological parents, he is preceded in death by his foster parents, Ercell and Rebecca Ann Maggard Banks; grandparents, Jim and Mary Raleigh Banks; brother, Jimmy Glen Banks; and brother-in-law, Willard Blake. Delzie is survived by two sisters, Marie Blake of Cumberland and Virginia Gilley of Columbus, IN; and several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2019, between 12 – 2 pm in the Chapel of Tri City Funeral Home, 506 Holly Street, Benham, KY.

Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Paster Ted Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Monte Vista Cemetery, Cumberland, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. You may leave online condolences for the family at www.
