Dennis LaVerne Coy age 69, passed away Thursday evening, May 10, 2018 with his family at his side. Dennis was born October 24, 1948 the son of Martin and Audrey (Cooper) Coy. Dennis was united in marriage to the former Lynn Hubbard on June 21, 1980 in Mattawan, MI.

Dennis enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering in his workshop; but most of all spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades; he could fix just about anything. Dennis was also known for his work ethic.

“He was the hardest working man we ever knew”. Born and raised in the Van Buren County, he and Lynn moved to Naples Fl for several years where he designed pool enclosures. Dennis worked for Rob’s Tire and Auto for several years until his retirement.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 37 years; Lynn his children; Shannon (Jeremy Belka) Asselin and Brandon (Jessica Fritz) Coy, grandchildren; Dylan, Alyssa and Christopher, brothers and sister; Tom (Veronica) Coy, Linda (Gary) Verstrate and Andrew Coy, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; sister; Kathy Loy and brothers; James and Phillip Coy. A Celebration of Life Service will take place from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday May 21, 2018 at Antwerp Township Activity Center, 24821 Front St., Mattawan, MI 49071.

Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider U of M Cancer Center or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
