Derrell Stewart June 25, 1945 – February 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Quentin Derrell Stewart, 73, of McComb, MS. , passed away on February 26, 2019 at the University Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb, located on Delaware Ave.

Visitation will resume again on Friday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at First Baptist Church Summit. Dr. Larry LeBlanc will officiate and burial will be in Terry’s Creek cemetery. Derrell was born on June 25, 1945 in Thomasville, GA.

He is the son of the late, Quentin and Marion Pierce Stewart. Derrell was self-employed as a developer a member of First Baptist Summit, served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a Shriner. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Stewart. He is survived by his wife, Elois Knight Stewart, two sons, Chad Stewart and Jed Stewart; one daughter Kristie Whatley (Stuart); three sisters, Charlene Habig (Paul), Melba Covington (James) and Rhonda Cheatham (Terry); grandchildren, Kori Stewart, Walker Whatley, Quentin Whatley, Ava Knight Stewart and Jude Pierce Stewart with numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Stewart, Steve Covington, Neil Covington, Eric Cheatham, Ken Habig and Stuart Whatley Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Rayborn, Danny Simmons, Jerry Van, Ray Smith, Matt Smith, Thad Wright, Hal Holloway, Mike Spears, Price Wilkinson and the men of the Marathon Breakfast Club.

In Lieu of flowers donation may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Summit.
