Obituary for Diane Humphrey Diane C. Humphrey, 75 years old, born November 15th 1942 in Staten Island New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on February 2nd 2018. Diane attended P.S 45 and Curtis High School in Staten Island. During her time at school Diane developed a special fondness for sewing.

She loved to make clothes and even made her graduation dress as a part of her final project. Diane met her husband William Humphrey Sr. while in high school. The two married and lived in Port Richmond and moved to Westerleigh in Staten Island on Dickie Avenue, where they made years of memories and raised their children.

Diane worked at Allied Chemical then St John’s University and Alba House bookstore. Diane had worked in a cardiologist and podiatrist office before retiring. Diane had devoted time to her community in Staten Island through running a teen program for the church at Holy Family.

Diane hosted rosary meetings at her family home. Diane spent her retirement years in Middletown New Jersey, here Diane and William moved to be close to their family. During the summers, Diane loved to relax in her pool and enjoy family barbecues in the backyard.

Diane is survived by her husband William Humphrey Sr, her children William Humphrey Jr., Carolyn Johnsen, and Kimberly Gonzales, as well as her grandchildren Amanda Johnsen, Sean Johnsen, John Humphrey, Chris, Humphrey, Ryan Humphrey, Alyssa Rogers, Kierin Rogers, Taryn Gonzales, Emma Gonzales and Collin Gonzales. Family will be accepting friends on Sunday, February 11th from 11-1pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.

A funeral service will conclude the afternoon.
