Dickie was born on October 14, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Berthold Adolph Otto and Emma Augusta (Schmid) Ullrich. Dickie was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church of which he was an active member.

At a young age Dickie developed a hard work ethic and he used that all his life. His entire life he enjoyed both farming and ranching. His favorite times were spent with family and friends.

Dickie is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gary Ullrich, his sister, Shirley Ullrich, his sisters-in-law, Karen Ullrich and Joann Meyer and her husband Clarence. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Clarice Ullrich; daughter, Kim Koenig and husband Andrew; son, Jon Ullrich and wife Sheila; grandchildren who knew him as “Opie”, Kelly Koenig and fiancé Kenny Lamb, Conner Koenig, Ryan Clark Ullrich and Jon Carter Ullrich; brothers, Glenn Ullrich, and twin, Spitzie Ullrich and wife Jeanine; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many, many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Craver officiating.

A reception will follow in the Life Enrichment Center. Private interment will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Clark Ullrich, Jon Carter Ullrich, Conner Koenig, Kenny Lamb, Kerry Koehler, Mark Westerholm, Lance Ullrich and the Convivials.

Dickie will be remembered as a hard working man, always strong and faithful who fought to the end. He dedicated his all to his wife, his children and grandchildren and loved them more than anything. He will be missed.
