Obituary for Don Shepard Don Shepard, 71, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. A native of Johnson City, TN, he was the son of the late Frank and Rosie Garland Shepard. Don served his community as a mechanic for over fifty years.

Don was a loving husband, father, Pappaw, and was loved by all who knew him. Don was a member of Northpointe Community Church where he came to know his Savior and accepted Christ into his life. He will be missed by the entire congregation, especially by his beloved back table.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Nickles, sister, Betty Laws, and his brothers: Junior Laws, and Ronnie Shepard. Those left to cherish Don’s memory include his loving wife and best friend, Lois Shepard, his son, Don Shepard, Jr. and his wife Kim, grandchildren: Nicole Joaquin and her husband Francisco, Carmella Parra, Hunter Shepard and his wife Meredith, and Selena Nickles; great-grandchildren: Antonio, Michael, Joseph, Lydia, Rodrigo, Nayeli, Lorenzo, Julie, and Gabriella; sister, Rosalee Murray and her husband Paul, Linda Lipe and her husband Larry, Mildred Colquitt and her husband Mark; brothers, Gene Laws and his wife Anna, Jimmy Shepard and his wife Diane; special son-in-law, Martin Martinez, several nieces and nephews also survive. Don’s family would like to thank Dr. Marian Bertotti, nurse Carolyn, and the entire third floor ICU staff at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.

Don’s family will greet friends to share memories on Friday, April, 13, 2013 from 4:00 pm until a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City with Pastor Nick Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be sent in memory of Don to Pathfinders Youth Camp at 4951 Sullivan Gardens Parkway Kingsport, TN 37660.
