Donald Clark Adams Jr, 69 passed away May 4th, 2019 at Research Medical Center following a four month battle with cancer. He was born December 3rd, 1949 in KCMO to Donald and Irene Adams. Donald grew up in KCMO and was educated in the KCMO public school district.

In 1967, Donald then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, serving proudly for his country through MCB, Camp Pendleton, California. Following his discharge as a Corporal, Donald went to work for the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Donald was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Fawnie” or “Duck”.

In 1975, Donald met Rose (Blewett) Jackson, from that point on the two were inseparable. The unconditional love they had for one another lasted for 44 years. Fawnie and Rose raised two beautiful daughters whom he adored.

Fawnie was an outspoken man, who was admired for his since of humor and honesty, always being the life of the party. Fawnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Fawnie loved his wife and children and was fiercely protective of each and every one of them Preceding him in death were his father Donald Clark Adams and mother Irene (Mosely) Adams, two brothers; Kevin Mosely and Ricardo Adams and nephew; Kenton Branch.

Donald leaves to cherish his memory: his loving & devoted wife of 44 years Rose Adams, two daughters Tamela Jackson and Raynette Adams (Darryl), 4 grandsons Daniel, Delvaughn, Terrence, Raykwon & 4 granddaughters De’Ajha, Taehlor, Deserea and Riyah. 4 sisters Gwen Gant (Clarence), Marla Moore, Cynthia Cole, Ladonia Mahan, 6 brothers Michael Adams (Latricia), Robert Adams, Gary Adams, Brian Adams (Tenil), Sabir Mosley (Maria), Darron Adams. In laws (Blewett’s) Terri, Ronald, Sharon, Roger (Rose) & Angela (Cedd).

His best friend Rick Love (Smith) and a host of nephews, nieces, other relative and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Lawrence A. Jones and Son’s Linwood Chapel. Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment 12:30 P.M. Leavenworth National Cemetery.
