Obituary for Donald Earl “Jack” Smith Donald Earl “Jack” Smith, age 63, of Rixeyville, VA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was born March 7, 1955, a son of Glenn and Lila Smith who preceded him in death. He is survived by four sisters: Sheila (Buddy) Shaffer, Roberta Eubank, Sandra (Ron) Shingleton, and Pamela (Michael) Livengood, all of Upshur County; three brothers: Richard, Bob, and Craig Smith, all of Upshur County; and many friends in Virginia.

Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will be reminded of his orneriness and deep devotion to his family and many friends in Virginia. Jack was a truck driver for S & N Communications in Marshall, VA. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, the funeral hour, with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery at Kanawha Head.
