Obituary for Donald Eugene Bolyard Donald Eugene Bolyard, 71 of Bybee, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Spring Hill, PA, he is the son of the late Chester and Dorthea Bolyard. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by siblings, Virgil Bolyard, Richard Bolyard, Franklin Atkins, and Mary Strawser; brothers-in-law, David Nestor and Charlie Strawser; niece, Penny Ash; mother-in-law, Ruth Sherman; and friend and mentor, Robby Wynn.

Donald proudly served his country the US Army. He worked for Ford Motor Company before attending Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY. After graduating, Donald pastored at Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee, MO, Harmony Baptist Church in Cleveland, OH, and Lakeview Baptist Church in Lakeview, OH.

He was known best for his love of God and his wife. He was an adored father of his children and will always be a beloved papaw. Donald touched any life he knew.

Those left to cherish Donald’s memory include: his wife of 50 years, Sally Bolyard of the home; children, Kelly Short (Keith) of Morristown, TN, Chad Bolyard (April) of Rowlesburg, WV, and Susan Darby (James) of Bybee, TN; grandchildren, Laura (Brian), Wesley, Allison, Donald, Missy, Destanie, Chad jr. , Stormy, Lindsay, Megan, Leah, Alex, and Elisabeth; great-grandchildren, Nate, Dax, Nevaeh, and Aniah; siblings, Imra Owens (Tom) and Debbie Nestor; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Gene and Annabelle Higginbotham and Donald and Sharon Scoggins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

The family will gather to receive friends in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:20 PM.

Pallbearers are James Darby, Keith Short, Alex Lewandowski, Wesley Fowler, Donald Fowler, and Brian Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chad Gipe and Travis Lunsford. A memorial reception will be held after the graveside service at Briar Thicket Baptist Church in Bybee, TN.
