Obituary for Eric Keith Edwards Keith Edwards, age 73, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Keith was born in Wellington, England to Eric Edwin Edwards and Prillicent Ellen Fenn Edwards, both of England. He was preceded in death by his wife of eighteen years, Kathryn Jane Dugger Edwards.
Keith was a retired Detective for the British West Mercia Constabulary. He was a wonderful friend and was a spousal member of the Eizabethton Elks Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking as a pass time and was Captain of the Sloppy Dart Team – which included his friends, Mike Hill, Dustin Potter, Roger Sheets, Mike Hardin, Brady Williams, Matt Taylor and the late Bill Linebaugh.
Keith was also a member of the Moose Lodge, where he was on the Ritual Team. Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Susan Gleeson; mother-in-law, Jane Dugger, of Elizabethton; his brother-in-law, Mark Dugger and wife Vickie, of Elizabethton; his nephew, Brett Bourle, of Elizabethton; a dear friend, Jeffrey Miller, of Elizabethton; members of the morning coffee gatherings at Lingerfelt’s; and special friends, Brady Williams, of Elizabethton, Les McCorory and Geoffery Slate, of England, Jeri Sue Bowers, Ted and Patty Fields, and Patty Harris and her husband, the late Detective Trent Harris. A gathering of remembrance for Mr. Keith Edwards will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Reverend Raymond Amos, Sr., officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Wednesday. The family would like to especially thank the doctors and staff of Life Care of Elizabethton for the wonderful care shown to Keith during his illness. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 134, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
