Obituary for Donald Joseph Breit Donald Joseph Breit, 63, of Louisville, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, May 18, 2018 with his family by his side. He was a Louisville native, a 1973 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1977 graduate of Western KY University. Don worked as an engineer for 37 years at G.E. until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Breit, and his best friend, Duke. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia Smith Breit, two children, Rachel and Alexander Breit, and faithful companion Alan Michael. A visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.
