Donald Leon Holland, Age 87, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 29, 2018 at the Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington Court House, Ohio. He was born March 19, 1931 in Bellbrook, Ohio, son of the late Clarence Leon & Willie Florence (Hamilton) Holland. On April 14, 1950, he married Janis Dee Selph Holland, who passed away December 18, 2017.

They were married for 67 years. A 1949 Martinsville High School Graduate, he was a barber in Wilmington from 1960 through 2016, most currently at the Oaks Barbershop in Downtown Wilmington. Don loved to make homemade ice cream, which was the best!

Don also kept his farm maintained at a very high standard. Don’s farm pond was an enjoyment for his friends and family. Expo quality tractors were proudly displayed at the Clinton County Corn Festivals and many other places, including the Iowa Expo.

Don, in addition, liked basketball and had played for Martinsville High School. A good friend said that he had a great laugh. Surviving are his son- Steven Holland of Ocala, FL; daughters- Dee Ann (Francis) Denehy of Martinsville, Ohio, & Teresa (Lynn) (Roger Earley of Sabina, Ohio; grandchildren- Zachary Ryan Denehy, Lacy Marie Earley, Chelsea Ann (Kyle) Woodruff; great-grandchildren- Carrick, Cahlen, Zane, & Cohen and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother- Max Holland and half-brother- Paul Webb, and brothers-in-law- Larry Webb, Dwain Wilkin and Butch Selph. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Dave Hinman officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
