He was born March 16, 1957 in Catawba County to the late James Grady Tucker and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Tucker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Barbara Ann Tucker, Mary Frances Chapman, James Grady Tucker, Johnny Ray Jones and his step-father, Samuel Peter Harper.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his twin brother Douglas Nelson Tucker of Charlotte, a sister Charlean Tucker Allred of Hickory, and a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
