Donald R. Benson, age 80, of Shelton, passed away April 23, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Benson was born in Bridgeport, CT. He was a retired machinist for Remington Arms Company.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Benson was an avid supporter of UCONN Women’s Basketball. He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah (Brown) Benson of Shelton; one loving son Robert and his wife Kristina Benson of Seymour; two cherished grandsons, Connor and Collin; his brother Ralph and his wife Susan Benson of GA and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Interment will be private.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.
