DOIRE—Mr. Donald Armand Doire, age 80 of Jacksonville, FL passed away on April 15, 2018. He was born February 17, 1938 in Woonsocket, RI, the son of Armand Doire and Rita Nault Doire. Don joined the Navy when he was 16 and served 4 years.

After the Navy he did oceanography for 20 years, then worked in steel fabrication until retirement. Don was a member of the Moose for 48 years, he became a Legionnaires level member in 1977 and reached the level of Fellowship in 1984. He was Governor of Lake Shore Lodge No.

2020 from 1983 – 1984. He was married to Betty Jo for 30 years. Children are Kim (Ted) Sanders, Larry (Karen) Ashley and Wally Ashley.

Grandchildren Lisa, Tracy, Dusty, Mac, Race, Chloe, Evie, Walter Greyson, Kara and Michael (Kayla). Great grandchildren Beau, Kayla, Karly, Ali and Lexi. One great great grandchild – Carter.

Sisters: Lorraine (Val) Golden and Jackie (Dave) Jones; predeceased by brother Richard. Nieces and Nephews – Lisa, David, Don, Michael, Judy, Jane, Joann, Dawn, Joy, Trina and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was blessed to have a large group of family and friends.

Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 18, 2018 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd. , Orange Park, FL with Chaplain Tim McDaniel officiating. Don will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Fountain at a later date.

Family members and friends will gather on Tuesday evening (TONIGHT) from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
