Sue Jeffries O’Leary, 70, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Columbus, OH to Justin and Doris Jeffries in 1947. She spent most of her childhood in Pensacola, FL and graduated Escambia High School in 1965.

After getting married and starting a family, Sue returned to college and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Florida with a Degree in Art Education. She was an extremely talented artist and worked nearly forty years doing what she loved. She retired from her most recent employer, the Florida Times Union Specialty Publications as a graphic artist in 2009.

Sue is preceded in death by Justin Jeffries (father), Doris Jeffries (Mother), and Patrick Jeffries (Brother). Sue is survived by her daughter, Erin O’Leary Comes (Monty) of Fleming Island, FL; sister Joan Knipper (Jim) of Picayune, MS; grandchildren Kennedy and Beck Comes; nephews Jeff Knipper (Susan), Mike Knipper (Becky), and Jason Knipper; niece, Jennifer Knipper Moss (Craig); along with close friends and extended family. A Celebration of Her life will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at The Winterbourne Inn on the St. John’s River, 2143 Astor St., Orange Park, FL 32073.

Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, (904) 264-1233, is serving the family. A memorial donation honoring Sue may be given to curePSP.org, Community Hospice of North Florida, or your local Humane Society.
