Donna Lynne Lawrence passed away on May 17, 2019. She was born to Nelda June (Millikan) and Eugene Richard Cordell on November 23, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis.

She is survived by her children Tawnya (Dean) Curran and Joseph Randall (Angela) Bowman; stepdaughters April (Jeff) Rector, Sharon (Durrell) Cook, Karen Lawrence; her father; and 10 grandchildren, Courtney (Josh) Meeks, Zachary Curran, Travis Bowman, Dustin Lawrence, Kasey (John) Watson, Kyle Crouch, Jacob Vaughn, Abigail Rector, Damon Rector and Mackenzie Kempner. Seven Great Grandchildren, Ethan Meeks, Ellie Meeks, Braxton Watson, Brayden Watson, Madisyn Lawrence, Mazie Vaughn and Mia Martin. Siblings, Cynthia (Byron) Eason Michael Cordell, Mark Cordell.

Her mother June Cordell and her husband Travis Lawrence preceded her in death. She also leaves her 2 dogs Milli and Buzz and her cockatiel Sassy. Donna lived in Indianapolis, IN for 35 years and was a graduate of Warren Central High School.

She worked at Community Hospital East in Medical Records, before moving to Athens, Al in 1988, where she and her husband had a small farm. She enjoyed caring for all of her animals. She loved her goats.

At one time she had one goat that was named Valentine, she had her inside her home, until 4 months old. It was a blind goat and she had to bottle feed it. She worked at Humana Hospital in Huntsville, Al and Bradford Health Services and Walmart in Athens, AL.

She returned to Indiana (Ingalls) after her husband’s death and was able to reconnect with all of her family. She lived close to her children and enjoyed her grandchildren being so much a part in her life. The last few years had been a real joy.

The great grandchildren have meant so much to her. She enjoyed doing things with the little ones. She loved Christmas when she would have all of her children come for a day of fun and gathering.

Her favorite time of year was spring where she could plant a garden and raise tomatoes. She loved to can and would can close to 100 jars of tomatoes. The family would enjoy them, when she would put them in her soups and chili.

She also loved to feed the outside birds. She liked sitting on her patio and just watching the birds. She wants All of her Family to know that she will be waiting for them to rejoin her someday.

Family was what her life was about! Either on earth or eternal, we belong together. A funeral to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. Memorial contributions may be made to The MDS Foundation 4573 South Broad St., Suite 150 Yardville, NJ 08620.
