Donna Louise Kemp, 56, passed away Sunday, Feb 3, 2019 at Tranquility in Marietta. She was a native of Marietta and graduated from Marietta High School in 1980. She graduated from the University of Georgia (Journalism, 1984) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MBA, 2008).

Donna was an active member of her community, participating in numerous outreach programs; most notable was her work with MUST Ministries and her Church where she was a longtime member. She was a member of the Sweetwater Chapter DAR and enjoyed the arts in all forms and was frequently found at concerts, museums or reading a book. Nothing made her happier than a fall Saturday when her Bulldogs were playing.

Donna had a unique zest for life and will be deeply missed by all. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Kemp and Louise Horton Kemp. She is survived by her siblings Shirley Kemp Schulhof, Larry Kemp & Stephen Kemp, her life partner Louie Jiles, and her many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church, Marietta with visitation in the church Parlor from 9:00 until 10:45 am. Services will be in the Sanctuary at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to MUST Ministries or Interfaith Children’s Movement.
