Donna’s Obituary Donna Marie (Franske) Peterson, age 95, of North Mankato, died on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living of North Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Donna, the daughter of George and Agnes (Materne) Franske, was born on November 5, 1923 in Mankato. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in Mankato.

Donna was previously employed for the City of North Mankato as the Clerk of Court and the secretary to Bob Ringhofer for 21 years. She was also employed at Bolton & Menk for 4 years. Donna loved music functions, dancing, having coffee with her friends, and knit knit knit.

It was all about faith and family. She was an active member at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and enjoyed bringing communion to people in their homes. She was a very active grandma, enjoyed her family and she was very proud to take them up North for many years.

She is survived by her children, Gary Peterson of Mankato, Tom (Radah) Peterson of North Mankato, Pam (Joe) Willaert of Mankato, Judy (Gary) Bulthuis of Mankato, Rich (Cheri) Peterson of North Mankato, and Linda (Bill) Schuster of Anoka; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Lievan, and grandson, Matt Peterson. Memorial may be directed to the School Sisters of Notre Dame or the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of North Mankato.
