Obituary for Doretta B. Juergens Doretta B. Juergens, age 90, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Muskegon. She was born November 27, 1927 in Muskegon to Hugh K. and Dora (Hevel) Laubach and lived her entire life in the area. Doretta married Harold H. Juergens on July 29, 1950, and he preceded her in death on November 3, 1996.

Doretta was in the last graduating class of the Nurses Corps and was employed as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at Mercy Hospital before retiring in 1984. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a board member for Right to Life. She enjoyed pottery, square dancing, card games but foremost was the time she spent with her family.

Doretta is survived by 4 children, Tom (Becky Perry) Juergens, Eric Juergens, Judy McMahon, Ted (Lisa Harris) Juergens; 7 grandchildren, Sara Houdan, Dan (Lauren) Houdan, Hans Juergens, Zack (Jodi) Juergens, Nathan Juergens, Kelly (Max) Striker, Kacey McMahon; 3 great grandchildren, Harper Nicole, Sadie Jo, Jace Harold; 1 sister-in-law, Maryann Gilson; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Willy and Richard Laubach, and 2 sisters, Diane Woodruff and Ruth Lawrence. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 10am Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church (3225 Roosevelt Rd.

) with Pastor Paul Appold officiating. VISITATION will be held 6-8pm Friday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Right to Life.
