Obituary for Doris E Koenig (Rasmussen) Print Dateline Bordentown. Doris E. Koenig passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Masonic Village of Burlington. Born in Trenton, Doris lived in Chambersburg before moving to Bordentown Township in 1956.

Daughter of the late Christian and Ruth Rasmussen, she is predeceased by her husband and love of her life Leonard R. Koenig, and her sisters: Gladys, Virginia and Elizabeth. She is survived by her children: Donna (Jack) Watts, Len (Kathy) Koenig, her 5 grandchildren: Doug Mueller (Malinda), Justin Koenig (Alma), Amanda Watts, Brian Koenig, Megan Kelly (Brian), and her 5 great grandchildren: Aidan, Leonard, Dahlia, Jonathan and Marshall. Doris will be lovingly remembered and missed as a feisty matriarch who “called her own shots”.

Her famous Christmas crescent cookies, and German chocolate cakes delighted many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’s memory to Masonic Charity Foundation of New Jersey, 902 Jacksonville Road, Burlington, NJ 08016. A Chapel Service will be celebrated on Tuesday November 20th, 2018 10:00am at Brig.
