Obituary for Doris Evelyn Rayborn Holifield Doris Evelyn Rayborn Holifield, born July 5, 1939 in Laurel, passed away on November 6, 2018. Mrs. Holifield was a homemaker and attended Florence Methodist Church. She spent her life dedicated to her family.

She married her high school sweetheart, Clifton Jerry Holifield. He was truly the love of her life. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and visiting with her great grandchildren.

She played the piano at Myrick Baptist Church for many years while also serving as the church secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Jerry Holifield; and parents, Lonnie and Corine Rayborn. Survivors include her three children, Darlene Hodge (Dale), Dianne Hammonds (Terry), and Clifton Holifield; seven grandchildren, Chris Holifield (Salethia), C.J. Holifield (Kayla), Preston Hammonds, Chase Hammonds, Mason Hammonds, Robby Hodge, and Jerri Hodge (Don Rodrigue); great grandchildren, Tallon, Brooklyn, Jackson, Bentley, Gavan, and Levi; brother, Lewis Rayborn (Francis); brother-in-law, Jack Holifield; and other family, Cindy Sasser.

Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be at Myrick Cemetery.

Officiating will be Bro. Jimmy Holder. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
