Obituary for Doris Robb Dighton- Doris Herndon Robb, 85, died on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Lane County Long Term Care in Dighton. She was born on February 27, 1933 at Amy the daughter of William Walter & Thelma Leota (Owen) Herndon. Doris graduated from Dighton High School and Ottawa University with her degree in teaching.

She taught at Great Bend in her first job. She moved to Denver and in 1956 was commissioned as a missionary of the American Baptist Home Mission Society. She went to work for the Denver Children Center.

She later moved to Seattle where she was the pianist for 2 churches. She moved to Dighton in 2007. Doris enjoyed leading bible study groups, traveling, playing bingo and coming from a musical family singing and playing the piano.

She was a member of the Burean Church of Seattle. She was preceded in death by her Parents & 2 Brothers- Presley Herndon and Owen Herndon. She is survived by her 2 Sister-In-Laws Corinne Herndon and Patricia Herndon both of Dighton and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Lane County Hospital in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.
