Doris Mae Duncan Romine, age 89, of Marion, North Carolina went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her son’s home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Romine was born July 4, 1928 in McDowell County to the late Elmer and Leona Fox Duncan. She retired from Cross Cotton Mill.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed Romine. Left behind to cherish Mrs. Romine’s memories are two sons, Jerry Romine (Virginia) and Donnie Romine (Beverly); three grandchildren, Kimberly Burnette (Chris), Jennifer Edwards (Jacob) and Jamie Romine; four great-grandchildren, Amber McFalls (Cody), Kasey Burnette, Madilyn Edwards and Elijah Edwards; one sister, Betty Jo Reep (Rev. Ralph); and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Chastain, Rev.

Charlie Robinson and Rev. Rick Wood officiating. Interment will follow the service at Glenwood Cemetery.

All other times, the Romine family will be gathering at the home of Jerry Romine, 60 Stones Throw Path, Marion, NC 28752.
