Dorothy Alice Ridley, nee Gerber, passed away October 29, 2018. She was born July 24, 1926 to Edgar and Lela (Shafer) Gerber in Decatur, IN. She attended Decatur schools and graduated in 1943.

She attended Kent State University as an art major. Dorothy wanted to see California and she planned for a one-year stay. She met her future husband, John Ridley, in Los Angeles.

They married in 1947 in Decatur then lived their married lives in California surrounded by many close friends. Her husband passed away in 2003 and Dorothy moved to Ohio to be closer to her sister and extended family. She is survived by her sister Harriet Darmour and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place at her request.
