Dorothy “Dottie” (nee Vetroczky) Butchko, 70, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home in Lorain, OH. She was born in Bronx, NY on October 28, 1948 and graduated from Admiral King High School. Dottie worked at Lorain National Bank and also worked at Lorain County Job and Family Services and retired after 25 years of service.

She was a member of the Lorain County Hungarian Council, a 50 year member of St. Ladislaus Church in Lorain, and was a social member of many local clubs and organizations. Dottie was a parishioner of Nativity BVM Parish in Lorain. She is survived by her children, Steven (Keri) Berstling of Lorain and Kirt Berstling of Amherst; granddaughters, Alexis Berstling, and Kayla Katrincsak; great grandson, Brody Layne; and aunts and cousins of the U.S. and Europe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Geza and Margaret (nee Suprak) Vetroczky; and husband and soul mate, Thomas P. Butchko in 1988. The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Closing Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 9:20 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Nativity BVM Parish, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain, Fr. Robert Glepko, Pastor, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, OH.

Memorial donations may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053. Online condolences and gifts of sympathy may be shared with the family by using www. rsgfuneralhome.com.
