Obituary for Ms. Dorothy Elizabeth Ambush Dorothy Elizabeth Ambush, 89, peacefully passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. Affectionately known as “Sis,” she was born August 30, 1929 in Lime Kiln, Maryland to the late Charles Ambush and Bessie Harman Ambush. Sis graduated from historic Lincoln High School in Frederick, and after was employed as a seamstress at the Frederick Sewing Company.

She was also employed at Kelly’s Produce and WW Poultry for more than 40 years. Sis will be most remembered as a devoted mother and matriarch of the Ambush family. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Sis is survived by: her daughters, Janet “Bootie” Palm (Samuel), Rosemary “Gail” Demar (William) and Tracey Ambush; siblings, Edna “Fats” Weedon, Meryl Ambush, Margaretta Weedon, Bernard Ambush, Eugene “PeeWee” Ambush, all of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Shannon Demar (Marcia), Shantay Demar (Shanise), Chanese Hoy, Tranica Hoy and Emauri Hoy; great-grandchildren, Micah, Sidney, Ezra, Chaiden, and Chance Demar. Aniyah Wedge, Uriyan Dorsey, Nasir Parker and Sariah Thomas; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Sis was preceded in death by: her brothers Charles “Pud” Ambush, James Ambush and Edward “Joe” Ambush; and a sister; Betty Jane Thomas.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home at 2:30 PM, with a public viewing at and 1:30 PM. Minister Eric Rollins officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.
