Obituary for Dorothy Elizabeth Lavender Dorothy E. Lavender, age 96, of Delaware died Sunday morning April 8, 2018 in the Delaware Court Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 5, 1922 in Delaware to late Howard and Pearl ( Harris ) Sewell.

She was raised by her grandparents Arthur and Lula Harris. Dorothy was a 1940 graduate of Willis High School and had worked for the Delaware City Schools. She was a member of the Belle Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union.

She is survived by 4 sons, Kenneth (Juanita) Lavender of Lawndale, CA. , Myron (Donna) Lavender of Marysville, Jesse Dale (Terry) Lavender of Burkburnett, TX. , Ronald (Diane) Lavender of Fairview Park, Ohio; two daughters, Donna Elliott of Marysville and Norma Jean Waymire of Port Orange, FL.

; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2010 and a grandson, Christopher P. Lavender. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Robinson Funeral Home where funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Warren Goble officiating.
